2017: The Year of “I’m Tired” and “Why Does That Hurt?”

Secretly punk

Driving to church with Logan this Sunday listening to his new Foo Fighters CD.

“Best of You” comes on.

“Oh! I love this song!” I exclaim as I start to sing along.

“Wow – that is so white…” Logan says under his breathe as he sends me a questioning side-long glance.

“Well, maybe I don’t love it that much. If you don’t like it you can skip it…” I muttered apologetically.

“I don’t care. If you want to listen to it we can.” Logan responds just as apologetically.

Random muttered responses are exchanged and the song continues to play.

“Okay, fine, I really like this song too.” Logan finally admits as he turns it up and starts belting out the chorus lines.

A short time later, both of us are singing as loud as we can and near tears as we replay the song for the third time.

Sometimes you just have to admit to yourself that you need an angry/sad heartbreak song to sing along to with someone you’re close to. 😉

I feel the same emotions, but because of how things have changed, these feelings aren’t comforting anymore. This week it was listening to Billy Joel. Continue reading

Well, still reminiscing

I am still thinking about all of the really great memories that I have had with my old camera, so I decided to go through some of my old photos and share some of them with you! These are photos that I either thought were great way back when, have been very special to me, or just showcase my growth as a photographer. I hope that you enjoy! 🙂 I certainly did enjoy my little trip down memory lane!
